Terms and conditions
These terms are the agreement between you and meeterd. You accept them when you create an account. If you disagree with any of them, don't use the app.
Who can use meeterd
You have to be 18 or older. We ask for your date of birth when you create an account, and there's no other way in. If we find out you're under age, we close the account and delete the data.
One person, one account, with your name and your face. You can't use meeterd if we've previously closed your account for breaking these terms.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour
meeterd does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behaviour, and that isn't a statement of intent — it's a condition of this agreement.
The Community guidelines are part of these terms and describe what you may not post or do. Posting objectionable content, harassing or abusing another person is a breach, and the consequence is that the content comes down and your account may be closed without prior notice. Reported content is reviewed by a person within 24 hours.
Everywhere in the app you have a way to report content and a way to block anyone. Use them.
What you post
What you upload stays yours. By posting it you give us permission to show it inside meeterd, to the people your privacy settings allow, and for nothing else. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account.
Only post what you have the right to post. If you upload a photo that isn't yours and someone makes a claim, it comes down.
You are responsible for what you post and for the activity you organise.
What meeterd is not
meeterd is a place to find activities. We don't organise the activities, we aren't at them, we don't verify anyone beyond what the app shows, and we aren't part of what happens between you and another person before, during or after.
The trust marks on a page — verification, attendance percentage, who vouches for someone — are signals, not guarantees. Use your judgement, and read the Community guidelines before you go to anything.
If someone is at immediate risk, call 911.
Payments
When an activity has a cost, that payment is between you and whoever organises it. meeterd doesn't charge, doesn't handle the money and doesn't refund. If that ever changes, we'll tell you first and you'll get to decide.
Closing your account
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings → Delete account, and it is really deleted. What happens to each piece of data is in the Privacy policy.
We can limit or close an account that breaks these terms or the community guidelines. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and we'll look again.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we show you in the app and ask you to accept them again before you carry on.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, and any dispute goes to the courts of Montevideo.
